Whether this is the first time in your life you are going to college or you're coming back to school after 20 years away, Upper Iowa University will work with you to fit college into your busy life.

  • With six convenient start dates scattered throughout the year, 8-week classes, and an accelerated 6-week summer session, UIU in Des Moines offers you year-round access to the courses you need to help you graduate.
  • Students are able to graduate on schedule, even when taking just two courses per session for most programs.
  • Students are able to get a jump on degree completion by transferring up to 90 college credits from other colleges to UIU. Check out articulation agreements that might smooth out the transfer process.
  • You might also cut the cost of college by getting help from your employer. Check out the Corporate Advantage Program.
  • Sometimes your professional experience and test scores can earn you college credit.  Ask about qualifying for experiential credits.
  • A personal academic advisor can help tailor your academic plan and advise you on financial aid options.

Stop by our location or call the UIU-Des Moines Center to find out about how our evening courses or the Upper Iowa online and self-paced programs can help you on the way toward your educational goals. However you blend the coursework for your college degree, all UIU courses count toward completing your requirements and getting to graduation.
