Whether this is the first time in your life you are going to college or you're coming
back to school after 20 years away, Upper Iowa University will work with you to fit
college into your busy life.
Stop by our location or call the UIU-Des Moines Center to find out about how our evening
courses or the Upper Iowa online and self-paced programs can help you on the way toward
your educational goals. However you blend the coursework for your college degree,
all UIU courses count toward completing your requirements and getting to graduation.
With six convenient start dates scattered throughout the year, 8-week classes, and
an accelerated 6-week summer session, UIU in Des Moines offers you year-round access
to the courses you need to help you graduate.
Students are able to graduate on schedule, even when taking just two courses per session
for most programs.
Students are able to get a jump on degree completion by transferring up to 90 college
credits from other colleges to UIU. Check out articulation agreements that might smooth out the transfer process.
Getting your degree online from UIU enables you to study at your own pace and on your
own schedule. Rather than having to block off entire days to take courses offered
only at one time, like at other universities, our online program makes it easy to
complete assignments and learn when it works best for you.
In addition to in-person courses, you can work with an academic advisor to create
a hybrid schedule that combines these classes with online offerings to help you complete
the degree program of your choice.
Online-only programs are available as well, in a variety of disciplines, so you can
study what you want. Learn more about UIU-Des Moines Center in our video below and
check out our different degree levels and programs. Feel free to contact us directly
with any questions about obtaining your degree online.
You can get information on any of the following majors from the UIU-Des Moines. Some
are available at the center and others are available as online courses. Many students
blend their degree plan, by taking some face-to-face courses and some online courses.
Check with your Admissions Counselor for more details about any of these programs.
