Upper Iowa University’s Bachelor of Science in Public Health prepares students to improve the health of individuals and communities through disease prevention, health promotion, and data-informed decision making. Students develop expertise in epidemiology, population health, healthcare systems, and public health policy—building the skills needed for careers across healthcare, government, nonprofit organizations, and community health.

The 100% online public health major also provides a strong foundation for graduate study in public health, epidemiology, and other health professions, and can support students pursuing pre-medical pathways when paired with required medical school prerequisites.

This program is offered in partnership with Rize Education who specializes in connecting academic rigor with industry relevance, so that students can graduate with elevated skills that will be prepared for the modern workforce.

Some courses in this major are offered online through a consortium of accredited colleges and universities. Instruction is provided by faculty employed by partner institutions, and academic oversight remains with Upper Iowa University.
