Taking a Micro-Credential program “stand-alone” means you’re not a currently enrolled Upper Iowa student and wish to earn a Micro-Credential.

This might be the case if you’ve already earned a degree and are taking a Micro-Credential program as professional development.

Are Micro-Credentials Financial-Aid Eligible?

When taken “stand-alone” Micro-Credentials are not financial-aid eligble, however, the cost of courses when taken this way are available at a reduced rate of $300 per credit-hour*.

*Please note that due to this reduced cost, we cannot bundle this price with other tuition discounts, offers, or financial aid.

If you’re already an enrolled at Upper Iowa, your existing financial-aid awards apply toward courses in a Micro-Credential, as they are filling requirements toward your graduation requirements.
