Criminal Justice - Associate of Arts 

The Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice provides a strong foundation for students who wish to enter the criminal justice field.  The program is focused on foundational knowledge of the criminal justice system including law enforcement, ethics, investigations, and corrections.

To receive an associate of arts degree, a candidate must meet the following requirements:

  1. Complete a minimum of 60 semester credits. (UIU courses numbered below 100 will not count toward the 60 credits)
  2. Meet the general education requirements.
  3. Achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00.
  4. Complete a minimum of 15 semester credits from Upper Iowa University. 5. Complete 12 of the last 15 semester credits required for graduation from Upper Iowa University.
