CHEM 251 Organic Chemistry I

After beginning with a review of structure and bonding, students learn about hybridization and molecular orbitals.  Then, after exploring isomerism and stereochemistry, students analyze reaction mechanisms by means of the elementary steps through which they occur.  Students also learn fundamental laboratory techniques in organic chemistry.
