The Alumni Speaker Series continues Wednesday, February 24, with “The Importance of Volunteerism and Leadership,” presented by Royce Hix ’13. The program begins at 6 p.m. CST. Hix attended the UIU-Wausau Center, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Now an experienced accounting professional, Hix worked his way up from a temp-to-hire role and is now a controller and acting CFO for multiple organizations.  With years of leadership, volunteer and networking experience, his life lessons can create a lasting impact.

Recently developed by the Office of Career Development, the virtual Alumni Speaker Series sessions feature career-related topics inspired by the speaker’s career path.  Alums share their experiences and expertise virtually through Upper Iowa University’s Facebook page.  After the conclusion of each recorded session, they will be shared on the Alumni Speaker Series webpage to be viewed at any time.

Participants, who join the virtual session on Upper Iowa University’s Facebook page, will have an opportunity to ask questions during the event.
