Online Teacher Education Programs
Upper Iowa offers online teacher education programs to prepare you to become a licensed teacher in Louisiana in the following areas: Early Childhood (Birth-Grade 3), Elementary (Grades K-6), Secondary (Grades 5-12), and Special Education. We also have an online Master of Education program with many emphasis areas to help you further your expertise and enhance your leadership.
Online Undergraduate Teacher Education Programs
Elementary Education
Major in Elementary Education at Upper Iowa to prepare to teach in an elementary classroom, typically grades K-6. UIU also offers additional endorsement areas for those interested in teaching grades 5-8.
Secondary Education
Secondary education programs prepare you to teach grades 5-12, and require coursework in a specific content area like Business, English/Language Arts, and Social Science, to name a few.
Special Education
Special education programs, like our Instructional Strategist BD/LD/ID, K-12 Education major, prepare you to teach those with behavior disorders and learning disabilities.
Early Childhood Education
