Current MHA Student & Licensed Long-Term Care Administrator
I selected Upper Iowa because of the online program and flexibility that it offers while operating two long-term care facilities and still enjoying life. Upper Iowa's advisors and professors have all been great to work with, answering questions, encouraging growth, and understanding that, as a non-traditional student, flexibility is a must.
MHA Emphases
Many students who are pursuing MHA degrees fall into one of two groups: those who will seek their Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license, and those looking to perfect their business, management leadership skills to manage and drive change in the healthcare industry—either way, UIU has a MHA for you, as well as an internship-only option!
Internship-Only Option
Complete 1,000 practicum hours without enrolling in the full MHA program—an ideal option for those who already hold a graduate degree or only need supervised field experience to meet LNHA or other licensure requirements.
