UIU’s Student Accessibility Services office ensures all students have equal access to learning and campus life. We work with students, faculty, and staff to coordinate accommodations and support in line with the ADAAA and higher-education best practices.

Here are some of the areas we offer support:

  • Coordinating accommodations for new Upper Iowa students
  •  Temporary accommodations if you have surgery or contract a serious illness, or have a concussion
  • Renewing accommodations after a long pause in your education
  • Testing accommodations such as providing quiet, separate location testing spaces
  • Sign Language Interpretation
  • Note that UIU doesn’t have on premises interpretation staff
