Team Peacock – Pedaling for a Purpose!

Upper Iowa University’s Team Peacock will celebrate its 22nd year participating in the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI)—the oldest, largest, and longest bicycle touring event in the world! Since 2005, our team has raised more than one million dollars to support students and University projects.

Make plans to leave with Team Peacock on RAGBRAI, Wednesday, July 22, and start pedaling on Thursday, July 23, and finish strong with its traditional tire dip in the Mississippi River on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Three Great Reasons to Ride with Team Peacock:

Enjoy the luxuries of Team Peacock Support Crew! The Team Peacock bus and shuttle vans will be used to safely and securely transport riders and their gear. The Crew will set up camp each day for riders including setting up tents and making available portable hot showers and restrooms, when not provided by a residential host. Unlimited drink station and snack bar include water, sports drinks, ice, light snacks, bananas, treats, goodies, and coffee. Laundry service is provided for riders’ cycling gear. Team Peacock does not guarantee team rider jerseys.
RAGBRAI registration is FREE! While all riders must register on RAGBRAI.com and complete a waiver, Team Peacock will pay registration fees for daily passes including Thursday through Saturday, July 23, 24, and 25 only.
Be a difference maker! Team Peacock is a fundraising venture for UIU. Each rider may select their favorite University designation and will work to conquer their $750 minimum fundraising goal. A unique fundraising page will be created on your behalf. It’s extremely rewarding for riders as we pedal for their UIU purpose. A $200 donation must be made on your page within by Friday, March 13, 2026 to solidify your spot on Team Peacock.

Still seeking the weeklong RAGBRAI adventure? UIU will purchase your weeklong RAGBRAI wristband and will add an extra $250 ($1000 minimum fundraising goal) to your fundraising minimum goal to cover the additional registration expense. You are responsible for coordinating your own logistics and travel for the first half of the week before joining the full-service Team Peacock experience on Wednesday, July 22 at the UIU overnight location. Your weeklong wristband will be mailed directly to you.

*After Feb. 27, 2026, all late registration fees are added to the rider’s minimum goal amount.
