Online Orientation
An online orientation will be required for all new international students coming to Upper Iowa University. Students will receive an email with instructions on accessing the online orientation that day. The online orientation will cover a variety of topics including but not limited to: Academic Services, American Culture, Dating and Sex in the U.S., Health and Wellness, Immigration, and Student Accounts. Students will be asked to complete a quiz at the end of the online orientation – this is very important to us as it helps us make sure we are getting students the information that they need and want most.
In-Person Orientation
Upon arrival on campus, new international students will be expected to participate in the in-person orientation and the Peacock Experience.
It is mandatory for all new international students to attend the orientation sessions. There is a $200 non-refundable orientation fee that will be charged to all new students regardless of whether they attend the orientation or not. The fee will appear on the student’s bill.
