UIU Tutor Center
The Tutor Center provides free tutoring for Upper Iowa University students.
Tutoring through Zoom is available by Drop-In and Appointment.
Drop-In tutoring is instant access to our tutors, available both online and in-person in Fayette.
Session 5 & 6: The Tutor Center Director, Markus Hawes, will be available to assist with math courses.
To create an appointment with Markus, use his calendar link.
UIU has partnered with TutorMe to provide tutoring services to students when UIU’s Tutor Center isn’t available.
TutorMe, as with all Tutor Center services, is free to use for UIU students. TutorMe has tutors available 24/7 in over 300 subject areas.
To access TutorMe, go to uiuLearn and select TutorMe from the Student Resources tab on the top toolbar.
Scientific calculators (TI-30 XIIS) and graphing calculators (TI-83) are also available through the Tutor Center. Calculators can be checked out on a per-term basis, and renewed per-term as necessary. Graphing calculators are reserved for students in the calculus series or above.

The confirmation email that you received at the time that the appointment was made contains the link to join the meeting. There will also be a reminder email sent out an hour before the meeting time that will have the link to join the meeting.

Yes, they do! In the upper right corner of the tutoring session, you may enable your audio and/or video. The tutor will mirror your chosen settings.
