UIU ranked 37th best online college in the nation
FAYETTE, Iowa (May 21, 2015) – TheBestSchools.org has ranked Upper Iowa University as the 37th best online college in the nation. An independent organization, TheBestSchools.org ranked Penn State World Campus in State College, Penn., as the top university to offer such programming. UIU was the only Iowa university to be ranked in the top 50.
The criteria for ranking the best online colleges was based on academic excellence, faculty credentials, student support, awards, rankings, and reputation, including the school’s reputation for effectively providing online degree programs.

TheBestSchools.org recognized UIU for offering online degrees in a host of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as a variety of certificate programs.
Upper Iowa online students can pursue associate’s degrees in criminal justice, general business, liberal arts, and psychology, as well as more than 20 bachelor’s degrees in nursing, public administration, communication, and more. The students can also earn master’s degrees in business administration, education, higher education administration, and public administration.
The university offers courses in an asynchronous format, so students have the flexibility to complete coursework on their own schedule. Upper Iowa University offers six eight-week terms each year. In addition, students can choose from several self-paced degree programs.
