Military Spouse & Dependents
Military spouses and dependents are often required to move to new locations, which can make it difficult to achieve your educational goals. To help keep you on track, UIU offers flexible and affordable educational opportunities. We offer face-to-face, online and self-paced learning opportunities to individuals located around the world. Members of the total military family can mix and match the style of courses to provide the best fit for their busy lives.
Military Spouse Career Advancement Account
Upper Iowa University participates in the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) program. When a military spouse is on orders for one year, MyCAA provides resources and assistance to spouses of active duty services members, Guard and Reserve.
This centralized, virtual program, accessed through Military OneSource, will provide counseling and funding, up to $6,000, to assist with licensure, certification or education opportunities leading to portable employment opportunities.
Military Family Freedom Grant & Scholarships
Military spouses and dependents of active duty servicemembers participating in a UIU program receive a special tuition rate through the Military Family Freedom Grant.
Upper Iowa University also offers Military Spouse Scholarships annually. Contact your Academic Advisor for more details.
