TO: Fayette Campus Students
SUBJECT: UIU Care Plan

Fayette Campus Students,

The faculty, staff and administration at Upper Iowa University are excited to welcome you back to campus next week. The start of the school year is always a memorable and inspiring time, and our entire team is committed to providing you a rewarding, enriching and fun student experience. The beginning of every school year represents a great deal of planning and preparation by UIU personnel. This is especially true this year as COVID-19 is requiring all of us to adjust to doing things a little differently. Your experience as a student will reflect our efforts to resume face-to-face learning in a way that promotes the health and safety of our entire UIU community.

I cannot emphasize enough that every member of the UIU Family, including our students, carries a responsibility to conduct themselves in a way that protects all members of our community. Health and safety guidelines have been put in place to keep our students, faculty, staff and surrounding community healthy. The UIU Care Plan, and the guidelines and protocols it includes, should be carefully reviewed as you prepare to return to campus. A physical copy of the UIU Care Plan will be provided to every student during move-in or upon arrival for classes. I ask you to carefully review and become familiar with this document, and implore you to follow its guidelines in an effort to keep our campus community safe. These guidelines have been put in place not to restrict your experience at UIU, but to make sure it remains possible. Additional information on the University’s response and preparation can be found on UIU’s COVID-19 webpage.

Thank you for choosing UIU. We look forward to your arrival! Go Peacocks! #PeacockStrong

Sincerely,

Bill
