TO: Fayette Campus students, faculty and staff
SUBJECT: President’s Message – Mask and Distancing Requirements

Dear UIU Community,

On Friday, February 5, 2021, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds updated public health measures related to the pandemic. The Governor’s updates will not change the precautions and procedures we have established at our Fayette Campus and other locations in Iowa. UIU will continue to require distancing measures, wearing face coverings in all group settings or when distancing is not possible. Maintaining good hand hygiene and staying home when ill continue to be effective measures in limiting the spread of COVID-19. All these precautions and procedures are important if we are to continue to reduce the spread of the virus on campus and in in the communities we serve.

UIU’s employees and students have continued to adhere to our COVID-19 precautions and procedures, and we ask that you all please continue to do your part to help ensure the safety of all. With everyone’s participation and support, our Fayette Campus and other locations in Iowa are a safer place to live and learn.

We will continue to be #PeacockStrong – GO PEACOCKS!

Sincerely,

William R. Duffy II, Ed.D., Ed.S.
President
Upper Iowa University
