“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Civic Engagement is a unit of the Office of Student Development at Upper Iowa University. It provides resources for staff, faculty, community members, and students including organizations and opportunities for volunteerism, service-learning curriculum, webinars, and services through Iowa Campus Compact, a statewide association of college and university presidents who are committed to fulfilling the civic purposes of higher education by educating students for active citizenship and building strong communities.
The vision of the UIU Office of Service & Civic Engagement is to address community, national, and global needs through co-curricular and extra-curricular initiatives that promote purposeful and holistic learning and development.
