What is uiuFlex Semester?

Upper Iowa’s uiuFlex Semester combines the flexibility to work at your own pace and submit coursework online with the guidance and support of one-on-one personal attention via 14-day check-ins—all within a familiar, semester-based schedule.

Financial Assistance

uiuFlex Semester is fully eligible for Pell grants, tuition assistance, and veterans’ benefits when registered at least halftime time.

How does uiuFlex Semester work?

With uiuFlex Semeseter, you will access course materials online, including textbook information, and detailed instructions for completing the course. You’ll have tons of flexibility to move through the course at your own pace, with your instructors setting up check-in’s every 14 days for guidance and support. As you complete assignments, you’ll submit them electronically using uiuLearn.

    • 3 start dates a year with rolling admission
    • Flexibility to work at your own pace on coursework, from anywhere
    • One-on-one contact with faculty
    • Transfer up to 78 lower division and 12 upper division credits to UIU
    • Ability to complete courses at an accelerated pace
    • Proctored exams are not required for students taking web-based courses

uiuFlex Semester Requirements

  • Computer and internet access are required to view course materials and complete assignments on UIU’s online learning platform, uiuLearn.
