Giving Day set for April 16-17
FAYETTE, Iowa (March 5, 2020) – As part of Upper Iowa University’s (UIU) tradition of giving, students, alumni and friends are being asked to step forward and “Make It Grand” for 1,857 minutes during UIU Giving Day Thursday, April 16 and Friday, April 17.
Several ways people can show their support for UIU during Giving Day 2020 include following the UIU Alumni & Friends Facebook page and other UIU social media to receive regular updates on the progress of individual challenges, sharing favorite UIU photos via social media by using the hashtag #UIUGivingDay, adding a frame to your Facebook profile picture, updating your Facebook and Twitter cover photos to promote UIU Giving Day, and making a gift of your choice before the event concludes at 6:57 p.m. Friday, April 17.
Over $159,000 was contributed by 780 donors during Giving Day 2019. The goal to “Make It Grand” in 2020 is for 1,000 donors to participate in this year’s Giving Day. Supporters may designate their gift to any of five campaigns: UIU Fund, Forever UIU Fund, Enhance UIU Fund, Peacock Athletics and/or 2020 Class Gift.
