FAYETTE, Iowa (October 15, 2015) – Affordable Colleges Online (ACO) has ranked Upper Iowa University’s Online RN to BSN degree program among the best in the nation.

ACO officials praised UIU for offering the most notable balances of academic rigor, student support, and affordability for online learning. Upper Iowa’s RN to BSN degree program was also credited for providing different styles of learning that are accommodated with either a fully online or hybrid program.

Self-motivated students may choose online-only classes at UIU, while students who benefit from more structure, social interaction and feedback may prefer the hybrid option. In either case, the program allows working nurses to continue working during their studies, as well as take advantage of previous education by transferring up to 90 credits of undergraduate work. Graduates are provided curriculum, which prepares them to move into management positions or continue studying at the graduate level.

The ranked schools met a number of ACO criteria and metrics, including:

  • Must be a public or private, not-for-profit institution
  • Must offer at least one fully-online bachelor’s degree program
  • Provides academic and counseling services
  •  Provides job placement for graduates

The Upper Iowa University RN to BSN degree program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
