Born and raised in northeast Iowa, Nicole Gibson moved to southeast South Dakota for college at the age of 18. After graduating with a Public Relations and Journalism degree from the University of South Dakota in May of 2015, she decided the best place to call home was Iowa, and moved back to her hometown of Elgin. Nicole became a part of the Upper Iowa Peacock family in June when she joined the team as an admissions counselor.
“I truly love not only being back home, but also being a UIU Peacock. Moving six hours away for college helped me realize how great northeast Iowa is, and now I have the opportunity to help other students learn this too. Upper Iowa University offers students ample opportunities to help them grow and begin their careers, and I am now able to help these students realize this, as well as help them find the college that fits them best.”
Nicole oversees the local territory surrounding Upper Iowa University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, writing, and playing with her dog, Lily.
