UIU ALERT: Thursday, March 22 - The Fort Sill center office will be closed due to the Fort Sill Career Day/Education Fair at Rinehart Gym. Students needing assistance should email email@example.com
GEICO associates may now complete their core business courses or earn business degrees with a tuition grant through the Upper Iowa University Corporate Advantage Program (CAP). The CAP program currently offers a 20% tuition grant to GEICO associates, which is based on GEICO participation.
All UIU courses are available online; some may be offered face-to-face at GEICO locations. Face-to-face classes will meet once a week; online classes offer 24-hour access to discussion boards.
UIU classes are offered in 8-week sessions, with six sessions a year, each UIU course can be completed in half the time of a typical 16-week semester. Associates who are not in compliance with GEICO education requirements can quickly become compliant.
Associates can submit previous college transcripts and transfer up to 90 previous college credits to UIU towards an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree in business. UIU waives prerequisites for GEICO associates. Spouses and other dependents, up to age 26, also are eligible for tuition grants.
Associates also can take up to 30 credit hours (10 classes) before being accepted to the university and declaring a major.
Consult with a UIU advisor to build your education plan.
The GEICO CAP offers delayed payment for each class. GEICO pays UIU directly after you complete each class with at least a C-. Your only out-of-pocket cost is textbooks.
Apply to UIU online AND submit an online GEICO “Request for Tuition Reimbursement” through Self-Service before the start of class.
