Sherry Petty, Ph.D.

Dr. Petty earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education and a master’s degree in special education. She earned her Ph.D. in Education from Iowa State University with a focus on literacy. Prior to beginning a career at Upper Iowa University, she worked in PK-12 school districts as a general education teacher, a special education teacher, a preschool teacher, and as an instructional coach. She also worked as a lecturer at Iowa State University.
