Elissa Wenthe is a sculptor whose work derives from synthesizing landscape imagery, whether imagined or taken from reality. She intends to personify forms that exude a sense of energy, a sense of vitality, a sense of rawness, of beauty or sublime decadence, exploring the gap between the ordinary and extraordinary. Wenthe actively exhibits her work throughout the United States and has participated in two residencies at Sculptures Space in NY and Jentel in WY. Wenthe is heavily involved with student organizations and faculty led travel both domestically and internationally. Wenthe also work closely in creating community-based education in the arts to a diverse group of participants.
