TO: Employees, Hong Kong students
SUBJECT: Hong Kong update

Good morning,

Hong Kong’s Centre of Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health has extended the Emergency level of the “Preparedness and Response Plan for the Novel Infectious Disease of Public Health Significance” due to ongoing concerns about the coronavirus. For this reason, UIU’s Hong Kong Center, including all classrooms and facilities, will be closed until the start of Session 4 (March 16). The remainder of Session 3 classes will be delivered online.  Hong Kong Center students can still reach center staff by email or WhatsApp message.

Staff or faculty with non-academic questions should contact Alice Hung at [email protected].  Staff or faculty with questions specifically related to academics should reach out to their respective Chair or Dean.

Thank you for thinking of our colleagues and students in Hong Kong during this challenging time. As always, our focus will continue to be on the health and safety of our Peacock family. We will update UIU faculty and staff with any future developments.
