Csomay Honors Program Application

The Csomay Honors program serves UIU’s most exceptional students with unique opportunities in and out of the classroom. Members of the Honors program are among UIU’s most motivated and highest-achieving students and enjoy a range of benefits as part of membership in the program, including:

  • An annual Honors scholarship
  • Unique coursework that empowers Honors students to utilize their creativity and explore their own personal interests and aspirations
  • Research opportunities and funding to attend and present at academic conferences
  • Opportunities for travel, service learning, and community engagement
  • Membership in a community of like-minded students and faculty to support you throughout your time at UIU and beyond
  • Special recognition at graduation upon completing the program and highest distinction that will help you stand out in the job market or in applying for graduate, law, or medical school

Applicants to the Csomay Honors program are admitted based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and life experience. Applicants generally have a GPA of 3.5 or higher; students in the 3.25-3.49 range are also encouraged to apply. Standardized test scores (ACT, SAT, etc.) are not required but may be presented if the applicant chooses. We welcome students who bring unique life experience and have been involved in extracurricular organizations and community service.
