Veterans Benefits Specialist – Fayette, IA

Assistant Professor of Education – Waterloo, IA

Assistant Strength and Nutrition Coach – Fayette, IA

The Assistant Strength and Nutrition Coach reports to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and will assist with the design, development, implementation, monitoring and assessment of strength and conditioning programs for 60-80 student-athletes competing in five to seven intercollegiate programs (work in collaboration and partnership with football) at the NCAA Division II level.

The Assistant Coach will work cooperatively with coaching and athletic training staff to: develop team and individualized strength programs and nutrition plans in a positive and motivating environment, provide insight regarding health and nutrition as it relates to physical development and health, counsel student-athletes on optimal nutrition for exercise training, competition, recovery from exercise, weight management, hydration, immunity, disordered eating, travel, and supplementation, assist in the oversight and maintenance of two weight rooms and equipment, and assist with monitoring and developing of the intern program, including and not limited to the planning, supervising, and evaluating of all interns.

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in Health, Nutrition, Exercise Science or related field with a background or education in dietetics and a minimum of one year experience working in a collegiate sports nutrition and/or strength and conditioning environment. Band Director – Fayette, IA

Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Band Director is be responsible for the creation, management and direction of Upper Iowa University’s newly formed Pep Band. He/she will provide overall leadership of the pep band, the participants and their responsibilities including practices, band arranging, field show design and program development. This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual to develop a pep band program “from the ground up”. In addition, there may be other opportunities to develop additional performance experiences at UIU. Graduate Assistant for Student Activities (2) - Fayette, IA

The Office of Student Life at Upper Iowa University - Fayette Campus invites applications for (2) Graduate Assistant for Student Activities positions. Full Time Lecturer in Mathematics – Fayette, IA

Upper Iowa University invites applications for a full time, non-tenure track faculty position (without rank) as a Lecturer in Mathematics on the residential campus in Fayette, Iowa with a start date of August 2018. This is an academic-year position with a 24-credit teaching requirement in two semesters. Teaching assignments are predominantly face-to-face on the Fayette campus, and may include hybrid, online, domestic center, and international center modalities, as needed. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

We seek a mathematics lecturer with a deep interest in student-centered teaching at the undergraduate level and who will contribute to an environment in which diversity is respected, encouraged and nurtured. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential for excellent teaching. This position will complement existing faculty strengths in a small interdisciplinary department, and contribute to our curricula and programs.

A Master’s Degree is required in Mathematics, Statistics or a field within the mathematical sciences, applied mathematics or quantitative sciences, such as engineering or operations research with a Ph.D. preferred. The successful candidate will teach primarily lower division mathematics courses face-to-face on the Fayette campus.
