This is a 12-month full-time, tenure-track, faculty position. Establish and maintain a compliance program that will ensure proper transmission, administration, and interpretation of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), North Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA), Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), and University policies and procedures to the department, student-athletes, alumni, and friends of the program. Develop and coordinate an education program for coaches, staff, and student-athletes that include processes for disseminating new rules information and interpretations. Develop, coordinate, and deliver a program for conducting rules and eligibility meetings for student-athletes. Respond to requests by University officials, coaches, staff, student-athletes, faculty and others regarding rules clarification and interpretation. Oversee the certification of initial and continuing athletics eligibility and financial aid for student-athletes. Serve as the University’s principal investigator for all alleged violations in accordance with applicable NCAA and NSIC rules, policies and procedures. Assist and advise the Director of Athletics in establishing departmental goals and objectives, program policies and procedures, operations, personnel, determining solutions, and implementation of administrative procedures. Administration and supervisory oversight of assigned athletic programs and functional area. Assist the Director of Athletics in identifying and managing issues impacting the Athletic Department’s reputation, image, and public relations. Cheer/Spirit Teams Graduate Assistant – Fayette, IA

Upper Iowa University is seeking a Cheer/Spirit Teams Graduate Assistant. The Graduate Assistant for the Upper Iowa University Spirit Team reports directly to the Spirit Team Coordinator. The Upper Iowa Spirit Program consists of the co-ed and all female cheer team, mascot crew, and club dance team. The individual must stay up-to-date with all college cheerleading rules and be AACCA certified. In addition, the Graduate Assistant must attend and oversee all games where the cheer team is involved, attend events where the mascot makes appearances, and help with the club dance team when necessary. Graduate Assistant of Annual Giving – Fayette, IA

The office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Development at Upper Iowa University seeks a Graduate Assistant of Annual Giving to assist with the University’s annual fundraising efforts.

The Graduate Assistant reports to the Director of Annual Giving and assists with the University’s annual fundraising efforts by seeking support from alumni and friends through direct mail marketing, UIU Phonathon effort, email marketing, and special events. Core duties include: educate and train student callers to be effective advocates and fundraisers for UIU; assist with initiatives that will increase annual giving among alumni, faculty and staff members of UIU, and other supporters of UIU.
