Human Services

Human Services at Upper Iowa University is an interdisciplinary major designed for you to pursue careers in the human services field after graduation. Coursework includes courses in sociology, psychology, and the social welfare area.

With a degree in Human Services from Upper Iowa University, you will have a broad-based understanding of the behavioral sciences and will be qualified for a wide range of occupations or graduate work in the expanding market of human services. You will have the opportunity to work alongside social workers, detectives, doctors, and other specialists who help individuals tackle major challenges in their lives. Many human services programs provide intervention for citizens with substance abuse problems or victims of crime or violence.

LOCATION: Main residential campus in Fayette, Iowa, UIU Educational Centers, Online, and Self-Paced Degree Program.
