The UIU SGA will definitely be staying busy this spring. As we are continuously working towards improving UIU and implementing suggestions that we receive, we also create/attend events that create interactions between students and faculty. On April 3-7, the team of SGA officers as well as Amy Tucker, will be attending the 2013 leadership conference in Boston, MA! We are very excited for this opportunity, as we will build strong foundations for ourselves as student leaders, improve our leadership skills and enjoy the fun that Boston has to offer. Student government, as well as some other clubs/orgs are also in the process of planning a nearly naked mile. This will be a fun way to donate clothing to a nearby shelter, and raise money for a charity. Fayette Appreciation Day is also coming up, and this is a way for all students to get involved and do service projects to give back to the community. Everyone participate! Continue to look and listen for any new updates on any events that may be up and coming.
