Orientation (OAR)
Orientation, Advising, and Registration (OAR) Days at Upper Iowa University is your first chance to get acquainted with the college. It is also our first opportunity to welcome you to Upper Iowa warmly and sincerely, something you cannot get from an acceptance letter alone.
During your OAR Day, we will not only help you prepare for your first day classes but we will also help you start your life at UIU. You will meet fellow students, register for your classes, and have the opportunities to meet with a faculty member from your major, take a campus tour, confirm your financial aid, and get answers to any questions you may have. You will also learn about extracurricular activities, organizations, clubs, and opportunities that will be available to you. Attending an OAR Day is the first step in creating a successful future at UIU.
