Wellness Council
Upper Iowa’s Wellness Council is dedicated to creating awareness about healthy lifestyle choices, incorporating mind, body, and spirit. Established in 2007, the Wellness Council has been working to bring the latest health information to the Upper Iowa University students. Wellness Council has dedicated their time and effort to ensure that there are health and wellness programs available to everyone so that students, as well as faculty and staff, can lead a healthy, active lifestyle for the rest of their lives.
Wellness Council Services/Projects
Wellness Council in conjunction with the Office of Student Development hosts weekly free programs aimed at keeping UIU happy and healthy. Programs range from spa nights, cancer walks, fitness challenges, and healthy snacking demonstrations. Each month has a health and wellness theme, such as September being Fruit and Veggie month. Wellness Council works to establish a themed program every month that provides information about a related health area to students, staff, and faculty. Upper Iowa hosts a Wellness Extravaganza every year to help bring in various health minded vendors/businesses to discuss health and wellness with the Upper Iowa community. Keep UIU happy and healthy with us!
