Peacock 50/50 Make a Difference Challenge
In support of UIU’s strategic initiatives and the new Office of Service & Civic Engagement’s vision and mission, we invite all students, employees, clubs and organizations, Peacock athletic teams, and alumni to participate in an exciting Challenge promoting volunteerism and service-learning across the entire University and surrounding communities. The goal is to for 50% of all these entities to contribute 50 hours of community service throughout the 2011-2012 academic year. The top individuals and groups will be honored at the Annual Office of Student Development Awards.
Both community service hours done on personal time, as well as within the University (e.g., Fayette Appreciation Day, Peacocks for Progress, Wellness Strategies, athletics, & clubs & organizations, projects at UIU's centers) can be counted. This also includes service done in August. Please document your volunteer hours by filling out the submission form on the UIU website.
