The main goals of Upper Iowa University’s Outdoor Pursuits (ODP) are to help people pursue their outdoor adventures, provide a source of leadership and training opportunities, and to give UIU’s students the opportunity to spend time outdoors. ODP also provides many items that are available to rent, free of charge to UIU students. Come and check it out!
Please Note: Activities sponsored by UIU allow for all skill levels to be included.

Rental Equipment
ODP provides many items that are available for free rental. These items include: tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, stoves, lanterns, tarps, camp kitchens, heaters, grills, coolers, backpacks, climbing shoes, climbing harnesses, canoes; kayaks; life jackets; paddles; wet suits; dry bags; throw bags; car carriers; bikes; helmets; locks; water bottles; sleds; horse shoes; trailers; fishing supplies; First Aid supplies; and MORE!
Checkout Center Hours:
Monday - Friday: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Checkout Center is located on the west side of the Dorman Gymnasium.
Cost:
Everything is available to you for FREE!
Please Note:
All items (excluding canoes) can be checked out for a maximum of 48 hours without facing imposed fines. Damaged or loss of equipment is the responsibility of the student who checks out the supplies.

Sign-Up Now For One Of Our Adventure Trips!
All participants must sign a waiver and medical release form before engaging in any activities offered by Outdoor Pursuits. The costs of these activities vary, depending on the duration and type of activity. Transportation is provided. Sign-up is on a first come first served basis. You will find the sign-up list in the Office of Student Development! For more information, please contact Daryl Grove.
