“I enjoyed my major at UIU mostly because of the professors I encountered. My professors were very passionate about the subjects that they taught and in turn it made me excited to learn about what they were teaching. My global marketing class really opened my eyes to what it would be like to market a product to another country as well as how to successfully enter a market in another country. Our professor gave us real life situations and put us into groups to work out the solutions as if we were a marketing team within a company. When I think about what I do now in my job, I am so appreciative for these experiences because I DO work for a global organization, these problems DO occur in real life and I DO have to work with others to solve them. I am so grateful for having had such great professors and classmates who made being a marketing major at UIU fun and worthwhile. Without the hands on experience I would not be able to translate what I learned in the classroom to skills in the workplace.”

The marketing curriculum includes both descriptive and analytical approaches to marketing. The major gives the student the needed marketing skills for all areas of business, as well as governmental and not-for-profit organizations.
