Clinical laboratory scientists work with state of the art equipment to analyze biological specimens. This requires a solid grounding in biology and chemistry, as well as clinical experiences in microbiology, hematology, renal analysis and immunology.
Students earning this major will complete three years at Upper Iowa University followed by on year of clinical instruction at the Mayo Clinic. Acceptance into the clinical program at the Mayo Clinic is not guaranteed.
