PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY IS SEPT. 19 - featuring the topic, 'Change Management'. Professional Development Day is scheduled for Wednesday, September 19. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. in the ballroom at the Student Center on the Fayette campus, with a welcome at 8:20. A keynote speaker will present on the topic, "Change Management," at 8:30, followed by small group exercises. Lunch will feature a networking exercise. Following lunch, Dr. Alan G. Walker will address the group. A presentation about AQIP and AACRAO will also be featured.
UIU FACULTY, ALUMNI AND STUDENTS SHARE PROFOUND EXPERIENCE. For seven days, 20 intrepid adventurers let go of modern technology and connected with their environment and each other in a way that has left its mark. The trip included Upper Iowa University faculty, alumni and students; friends of the university from the local area; and members and friends of the Association for Women Geoscientists. Read more

IEC EMBRACES 'EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH' PROGRAM. Bringing together different departments from across campus can be a challenging endeavor. After individuals from different areas were combined earlier this year to form the Integrated Enrollment Center (IEC), Dr. Allen Thompson, associate vice president, looked for ways to build a sense of community among members of the newly created group.
