Public invited to Veteran’s Day ceremony on campus
FAYETTE, Iowa (October 30, 2009) — The local community is invited to attend a special Veteran’s Day ceremony on the Upper Iowa University Fayette Campus on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 11:00 a.m. The service will be held at the UIU Veteran’s Memorial on Union Street across from Dorman Gymnasium.
The program will include a Color Guard presentation and speeches by President Alan G. Walker, Athletic Director David Miller, and student Jeremy Donohue, who is currently serving in the military. The UIU choir will sing “God Bless America,” followed by a wreath presentation.
