UIU chapter of national honor society elects officers
FAYETTE, Iowa (May 7, 2007) – Members of Upper Iowa University’s (UIU) Iowa Kappa Chapter of Alpha Chi National Honor Society met on Thursday, May 3 to elect officers for the 2007-08 academic year.
Alpha Chi is a coeducational academic honor society. Since 1922, its purpose has been to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who receive such distinction. Alpha Chi has some 300 chapters nationwide, including Puerto Rico, and inducts more than 11,000 members annually. It is distinctive in that it involves members in all aspects of its operation, including chapter officer leadership, student representation on the National Council, local chapter event planning, and the presentation of scholarly programs at regional and national conventions.

Sasha Heiken, Convention Delegate-elect – Winnebago, Illinois
Jennifer Hennessy, Alternate Officer/Delegate-elect – Waukon, Iowa
