Chanley hired as online coordinator for UIU
FAYETTE, Iowa (January 16, 2008) - Dr. Sharon Chanley has joined Upper Iowa University (UIU) as the Online Masters in Public Administration Program Coordinator. Chanley will be responsible for managing the online public administration program, as well as teaching public administration and political science courses at both the master's and undergraduate levels.
Chanley comes to UIU from Norwich University, where she taught and was responsible for course development. She also brings twenty years of professional experience managing nonprofit organizations in Texas and Arizona that dealt with family planning and domestic violence; and seven years experience teaching women's studies, liberal studies, public administration, and political science, primarily with nontraditional and online students. She has also served as a government evaluation consultant.
Chanley received a bachelor's degree in liberal studies from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas and both her master of arts and Ph.D. from Arizona State University. She and her husband, Jesse, currently reside in Arizona.
