MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (August 14, 2008) - Over 5000 fair-goers participated in a daily drawing at the 2008 Wisconsin State Fair for a free college-credit course good at any UIU center or program location.
"This was a great offer designed to either quick-start a potential student's college career or financially help out an existing student," said Fritz Oppenlander, director of the North Central Region. "The Wisconsin State Fair is a great venue, providing Upper Iowa optimal exposure to Wisconsin residents as well as visitors to the state." Oppenlander added, "It was also an excellent opportunity for us to reconnect with alumni who visited our booth."
