UIU students plant tree in memory of late Connie Stewart
FAYETTE, IOWA (April 30, 2007) –
In a special ceremony, an Autumn Blaze maple tree was planted on the Upper Iowa University grounds in memory of the late Connie Stewart, who was the science lab coordinator at Upper Iowa University during the 2004-05 academic year.
UIU Science and Environmental Club members Josh Michel and Dan Henderson (pictured) sent out an invitation encouraging anyone who knew Stewart or just wanted to honor her presence to attend. The two students spoke to the crowd that gathered at Noon on Friday, April 27.
