Weather postpones UIU activities
Fayette Appreciation Day is now April 18, cleanup is April 21
Fayette, Iowa (April 13, 2007) -- Due to the snowstorm that hit Fayette County this past week, Upper Iowa University has rescheduled its Fayette Appreciation Day activities. All events will take place on Wednesday, April 18. This includes the Peacocks for Progress community service projects and the Fayette Appreciation Day dinner to be held at the Fayette Opera House from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
In addition, the community cleanup sponsored by Upper Iowa University, Take- A-Kid-Outdoors (TAKO), the Fayette County Conservation Board, Fayette County Solid Waste Management Commission, and other community members, has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 21. The group plans to clean a 10.5-mile area from Klock’s Island to Heron Road in the Volga River State Recreation Area.
