Upper Iowa University hosts Walk/ Run on April 21
FAYETTE, Iowa (April 14, 2012) – Upper Iowa University will host a 1-mile Walk/Run and a 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, April 21. The one-mile event begins at 9:30 a.m. at "Race Central" in the UIU Recreation Center on Union Street, with the 5K event starting at 10 a.m.
Everyone is welcome, including children in strollers, but no pets.
Those under age 10 may participate at no charge in the one-mile Run/Walk.
The $20 fee for non-UIU students includes the entry fee, race packet and a T-shirt.
Registration in advance is encouraged, or participants may register on April 21, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the UIU Rec Center. In the event of lightening, the run/walks will be rescheduled to April 22.
