FAYETTE, Iowa (October 26, 2011) – Upper Iowa University will play its "home" game Saturday, November 5, on the field at North Fayette High School, West Union, due to construction on the field in Fayette.
Kick-off on November 5 only has been rescheduled to 2 p.m. for the game between the Peacocks and the Golden Bears of Concordia-St. Paul.
The usual home field for UIU, Eischeid Stadium, is currently under renovation. The old stadium is being razed, and a new stadium is being built and should be available for the Peacocks by the first home game in Fall 2012. The stadium transformation was made possible by a $7.5 million gift to the University from UIU alumni, Steve and Diane Harms of West Des Moines, Iowa.
The Peacocks final home game of the season against the Augustana Vikings will also be played on the North Fayette High School field in West Union on Saturday, November 12. However, kick-off on November 12 will remain at 1 p.m.
