Air Force Flyover moved to 11 a.m. for UIU Veterans Day program
FAYETTE, Iowa (November 5, 2010) —The U.S. Air Force Flyover for the Upper Iowa University Veterans Day program has been rescheduled to 11 a.m. on November 11. The aircraft will approach the center of campus from the east. The UIU program for Veterans Day will be conducted at noon at the UIU Veterans Memorial on Union Street across from Dorman Gymnasium on the Fayette Campus.
Speakers for the UIU program include UIU President Alan G. Walker; Dr. Rudy Kraus of Fayette, who retired as a colonel after serving 20 years in the Dental Corps of the U.S. Army; and Kyle Pedretti of Monona, Iowa, a UIU senior, majoring in physical education, who is serving in the Air National Guard as a fuel operator.
The UIU program will include a Color Guard presentation, wreath presentation, and reception.
