FAYETTE, Iowa (Aug. 3, 2015) – Bestvalueschools.com has ranked Upper Iowa University as the 36th best value among colleges for a criminal justice degree in 2015.

Bestvalueschools.com recognized UIU’s public administrative degree for preparing students “for a career in service, helping individuals and communities achieving the greater good.” In addition, the public administrative students can choose from a number of concentrations, including a specialized degree in law enforcement. Bestvalueschools.com noted Upper Iowa law enforcement students “prepare to develop, implement, and manage public programs in law enforcement that make a difference in their communities.”

Upper Iowa University criminal justice courses are taught online and/or face-to-face. UIU criminal justice students:

  • Learn from nationally recruited faculty with experience in Criminal Justice careers;
  • Study a real-world curriculum with relevant coursework;
  • Prepare to protect society, ensure public safety, and discover the judicial system.

Ranking the best value colleges in seeking a criminal justice degree was based on information gathered from College Navigator, a data website and subset of the National Center for Education Statistics. Bestvalueschools.com limited the results to the most selective schools (ones that admit 60 percent or fewer of their applicants). From these data, the schools were sorted by net price.

The website ranked CUNY’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice as the top university to offer such programming.

It is the mission of Bestvalueschools.com to provide students and their families with credible, actionable guidance in getting the greatest value from their education. According to its editor, Bestvalueschools.com uses its practiced and time-proven expertise to help the public find schools that can provide the best overall value for the educational dollar, the most available financial aid and assistance, the greatest support and services for the student, and the highest return on investment, in terms of what happens after graduation.
