The School of Science and Mathematics offers 12 undergraduate majors though the Departments of Biology and Chemistry, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), and Nursing. Some majors offer special emphasis areas through which a student may focus a degree program. Majors include an RN to BSN program offered both face-to-face and online. The School also offers certificate programs in GIS, and forensics/criminalistics and minors in biology, chemistry, mathematics and software engineering. Pre-professional programs also are offered. Studying mathematics, technology or the sciences sharpens your ability to ask the right questions and solve important problems using observation, investigation, and logical reasoning. These fields lead to rewarding careers that improve our lives and make a difference in the world.
