The Upper Iowa Center at Fort Riley, KS, offers classes on post to both military personnel and civilians in the area. It was opened in 1992 and offers bachelor’s of science degrees in 11 majors. Courses can also be blended with UIU distance learning programs (online and self-paced) to complete nine other majors. Certificate programs are also available. UIU offers courses on post during five eight-week terms during the academic year. All courses are offered during the evenings. Upper Iowa has been recognized by Military Advanced Education and by GI Jobs as one of the nation’s top military-friendly universities. Watch the Bulletin Board on this page for local postings.
