Fort Riley, KS
The Upper Iowa Center at Fort Riley, KS, offers classes on post to both military personnel and civilians in the area. It was opened in 1992 and offers bachelor’s of science degree in 11 majors. Courses can also be blended with UIU distance learning programs (online and independent study) to complete nine other majors. Certificate programs are also available. UIU offers courses on post during five eight-week terms during the academic year. All courses are offered during the evenings. Upper Iowa has been recognized by Military Advanced Education and by GI Jobs as one of the nation’s top military-friendly universities. Watch the Bulletin Board on this page for local postings.

- Public Administration (with optional certification in Fire Science or Law Enforcement)

Certificate programs are available in Human Resources Management and Organizational Leadership on post. Students can also combine distance learning courses to earn certificates in Marketing, and Organizational Communications.
Although the annual course schedule may be subject to change, the 2011-12 academic year includes the following terms:
- Term 1 (August 15 - October 8, 2011)
- Term 2 (October 17 - December 17, 2011)
- Term 3 (January 9 - March 4, 2012)
- Term 4 (March 5 - May 6, 2012)
- Term 5 (May 7 - July 1, 2012)
- Term 6 (July 2 - August 26, 2012)
Please see the Current Class Schedule. The class schedule is relatively flexible to meet student needs. Classes normally meet twice a week, Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday in the evenings.
