A true-born Northeast Iowa native, Brad Sweeney graduated from Upper Iowa in May of 2016 with his degree in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Sports Administration and also earning his coaching authorization.
Brad chose Upper Iowa because of the unique class scheduling and the family atmosphere. “Family is a big part of my life and I found a whole new family at Upper Iowa. I will forever cherish the experiences and friendships I made at Upper Iowa!” says Brad. While at Upper Iowa, Brad was heavily involved with student involvement especially Greek life, serving as Greek Council President and being in the fraternity FTF for 3 years. Brad also took the advantages of the wonderful experiences offered by Upper Iowa’s study abroad program while going to Italy for a term!
Now as an admissions counselor, Brad is ecstatic to show his passion about Upper Iowa to perspective students. Being a first-generation college student, Brad knows first-hand the challenges of searching for colleges from the endless amount of visits, the surplus amount of information about each school, and the final decision process. One of the biggest reasons Brad chose to work in admissions is to take the hassle of the college search away and make that transition as smooth and seamless as possible.
