Upper Iowa University is making a bold move by embarking on the largest capital improvement project in its 153-year history -- an initiative that will change the face of the University's historic Fayette campus forever.
As part of a $75 million capital improvement project, UIU is constructing three new buildings on campus.
A state-of-the-art, LEED-certified Liberal Arts Building to enhance student learning has been completed on the east corner of the campus quad.
The first of the new, very important Suite-Style Housing units – South Village I – has been completed to provide UIU students with safety and independence, while helping to accommodate UIU's growing enrollment.
A new Student Center is in its final construction stages and is scheduled to open in Spring 2011. It will offer UIU students a splendid environment in which to eat, relax and socialize.
The President, Board of Trustees, faculty and staff have made this endeavor possible by envisioning Upper Iowa as an exceptional and ascending institution of higher learning. This project will augment that vision by providing our current and future students with a setting in which they can be respected, encouraged, and nurtured.
